AMMAN — Minister of Government Communications Muhannad Mubaidin on Tuesday received a delegation from the UAE National Defence College (UAE NDC). During the meeting, Mubaidin, who is also the government's spokesperson, emphasised the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and the UAE and underlined the common stances on key Arab and regional issues, with a particular focus on the Palestinian cause, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Mubaidin underscored the joint efforts of Jordan and the UAE, led by His Majesty King Abdullah and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in advocating for an end to the Israeli war against Gaza, preventing displacement of the people of Gaza and facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid to the besieged Strip.
Mubaidin also highlighted cooperation in the media sector, citing memorandums of understanding between Jordan's official media institutions and their UAE counterparts, besides the reciprocal visits between media delegations from the two countries.
Brig. Ali Al Taneiji, head of the guest delegation, expressed the UAE NDC's commitment to maintaining media communication and organising external visit programmes for students to learn from the experiences of Arab countries, including Jordan.
Mubaidin listened to the UAE National Defence College delegation's interventions and questions on various media issues. The delegation also commended the role of the Ministry of Government Communication in supporting the official Jordanian narrative, particularly during the current crises.
