King discusses ties, region with Saudi monarch

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz on Monday discussed means to boost Jordanian-Saudi relations and reviewed the latest regional developments.
In a telephone conversation, the King congratulated King Salman on appointing Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef as Saudi Arabia's crown prince, deputy prime minister and minister of interior, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah also congratulated the Saudi king on appointing Mohammed Bin Salman as deputy crown prince, second deputy prime minister and defence minister, according to the statement.
King Abdullah also congratulated over the phone the new Saudi crown prince and discussed with him bilateral relations and recent developments in the region.
Jordan has joined a Saudi-led campaign aimed at defending legitimacy in Yemen.
