Kingdom’s agricultural exports increase 17% from 2021 — ministry

AMMAN — The Kingdom's agricultural exports increased to JD734 million by the end of the third quarter of 2021 compared with JD639 million for the same period in 2020, marking an increase of 17 per cent, Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat said on Sunday.
Hneifat said that the agricultural exports increased their contribution to the total national exports, reaching 17.1 per cent in the third quarter of 2021, compared with the same period of 2020, when it stood at 15.1 per cent, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister noted that the increase in the value of Jordanian agricultural exports was accompanied by an increase in the amount of exports that totalled 475,000 tonnes, including 161,000 tonnes for Saudi Arabia.
