Lattouf meets German delegation over cooperation

AMMAN — German Ambassador to Jordan Birgitta Siefker-Eberle on Thursday stressed her country's support to Jordan's social protection sector, as well as extending aid in the fields of water, energy and education, especially technical education.

During a meeting with Minister of Social Development Hala Lattouf, Siefker-Eberle and an official delegation from Germany discussed means of boosting bilateral ties in fields of joint interest.

Lattouf praised Germany's support to Jordan in implementing various programmes, especially in the field of women economic empowerment as they suffer from high unemployment rates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The German officials commended the Jordanian role in the region and its ability to host refugees despite economic challenges.
