AMMAN — Chairman of the Lower House's Palestine Committee Feras Ajarmeh emphasised on Monday the vital role of the Hashemite custodianship in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem. Ajarmeh, during the committee meeting, acknowledged the unwavering support of all Jordanians for His Majesty King Abdullah’s efforts to halt the "barbaric" Israeli war on Gaza. He emphasised the importance of delivering medical aid to the besieged strip and praised HRH Crown Prince Hussein's supervision of the delivery of medical and relief aid through the Jordanian Royal Air Force to the field hospital in Gaza. According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Ajarmeh condemned the attempts to “Judaise” Jerusalem, recalling the historical rejection of such acts by the Hashemite Kings, on both Al Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem. He also urged for a comprehensive resolution as the key to resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict.
