MAFRAQ — The Yarmouk Water Company (YWC) will implement infrastructure projects, costing more than JD1 million, to improve water conditions in Mafraq, YWC President Mohammad Rababaa said Wednesday.
The projects include maintenance work, drilling wells and installing new water networks.
Two wells will be drilled in Dafianeh and Mughir Sarhan to improve water supply in these areas and neighbouring municipalities, where demand has increased dramatically due to the great number of Syrian refugees.
Rababaa noted that the company is currently working on a water treatment unit in the Jaber area with a capacity of 40 cubic metres per hour.
