Mohannad Bakri appointed CEO of Royal Film Commission

AMMAN — HRH Prince Ali, chairman of the Royal Film Commission (RFC), has appointed Mohannad Bakri as CEO of the RFC, effective as of July 7, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Bakri holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and archeology, and has worked in the Arab region’s creative industries for more than a decade. Bakri was the director of external relations and partnerships at NYU Abu Dhabi from 2015 to 2019.

He was also regional managing director of Luminus media at the SAE Institute from 2012 to 2015. From 2007 to 2012, Bakri worked as a capacity-building manager at the RFC.

The newly appointed CEO started his career in as director of programme development alongside the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development.
