New RFC film centre launched in Aqaba

AMMAN — A new film centre was inaugurated on Sunday in Aqaba to provide young filmmakers with a platform that offers training and assistance, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The centre, affiliated with the Royal Film Commission (RFC), will work to spread a culture of filmmaking through training courses and awareness-raising workshops, said Abdul Salam Al Haj, director of the capacity-building department at the RFC. On the sidelines of the ceremony, a two-year renewal of the cooperation agreement between the RFC and Zain Jordan was also announced.
The ceremony was attended by HRH Princess Rym Ali, RFC acting director general, Zain CEO Fahad Al Jasem and Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Chief Commissioner Nayef Bakhit.
