AMMAN — Municipalities’ debt dropped to around JD73 million at the end of this year compared with JD89 million at the end of 2013, the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB) Director General Haitham Nahleh said Monday.
Nahleh attributed the drop to long-term extended credit facilities by the bank.
Moreover, the increase in municipalities’ share of fuel revenues contributed to the drop, he added.
