AMMAN — After announcing its decision to cease all sporting activity for national teams for a period of one week, the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) conducted tests on all its employees as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
The JOC immediately closed down its headquarters in Al Hussein Youth City in accordance with both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour’s protocols after one administrative employee tested positive.
Despite testing negative, the rest of the JOC employees have been placed in self-quarantine for 14 days with further tests to be carried out. The JOC said that since the return of operations at its headquarters, strict health and safety measures have been implemented.
