AMMAN — President of the Jordan Bar Association (JBA) Mazen Irsheidat on Monday said the JBA discussed with Prime Minister Omar Razzaz the complimentary instructions to the Income Law, which require attorneys to commit to a billing system despite the presence of appropriate software in courts to provide records of attorneys’ cases and business.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Irsheidat affirmed the JBA’s refusal of the drafted amendments suggested to the courts’ fee system, which require citizens to pay an insurance fee for cassation and appeal cases. He pointed out these amendments may hinder the citizens’ right to seek legal help.
