PM receives Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday received Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al Fadhli over means to enhance cooperation in agriculture, environment, water, prospects for integration, trade and knowledge sharing.

Talks during the meeting, attended by Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat and Saudi Ambassador in Amman Nayef Al Sudairi, discussed issues related to food and water security at the bilateral and regional levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The premier highlighted His Majesty King Abdullah's progressive perspective on regional and global food security, promoting collaborative efforts among nations and leveraging their unique strengths in this area, especially given the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

For his part, Fadhli referred to many prospects for cooperation with Jordan in the agriculture, environment and water sectors, as well as the firm and joint keenness to boost ties to serve both countries' joint interests.
