Princess Basma attends national scout meeting at Karameh Martyrs Scout Camp

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, president of the Jordanian Association for Boy Scouts and Girl Guides (JABSGG), on Thursday at the Karameh Martyrs Scout Camp attended the national scout meeting that was organised by the Directorate at the Education Ministry under the title “Meeting of loyalty to His Majesty the late King Hussein".
The meeting was organised with the participation of 200 boy scouts and girl guides from across the Kingdom as part of the Education Ministry’s to develop activities of boy scouts and girl guides and enhancing their role in the educational process, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the inauguration, Princess Basma said that Jordanians remember King Hussein’s achievements to Jordan in all fields thanks to “his wisdom amid difficult regional and international circumstances".
The princess stressed that “King Hussein’s legacy will be remembered by all, and we will keep moving ahead under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah to enhance this great legacy towards realising further achievements".
Princess Basma also expressed appreciation for the role of the ministries of education and youth in supporting boy scouts and girl guides and providing all necessary means for their success.
Abdulsalam Shunnaq, director of educational activities at the Education Ministry, said that organising this meeting coincides with the birth anniversary of the late King Hussein.
Shunnaq added that all remember King Hussein’s efforts in building the modern Jordan and serving the just causes of the Arab and Islamic nations with “sharp vision and wisdom” that made the Kingdom receive the admiration and respect at the regional and international levels.
