PSD impounds 354 vehicles, arrests 802 for Defence Order violations

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Tuesday said that a total of 354 vehicles were impounded and 802 persons were arrested over a period of 24 hours for violating the curfew, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a statement, the PSD spokesperson said that the seized vehicles will be transferred to the designated holding yards in Swaqa and Muwaqqar, while the vehicles’ owners will incur all due costs upon retrieving them after one month.
He added that PSD personnel are working around the clock to control violations against the orders issued under the Defence Law, stressing that these orders are applied “without compromise or discrimination”.
