Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Majd Shweikeh said during the opening of the counter that providing a site to serve patients and their companions and facilitate procedures for the arrival of those coming for treatment will “contribute significantly” to the development of medical tourism in the Kingdom.
She drew attention to the importance of this project, which was established in cooperation with the ministries of Interior and Health and the Jordan Tourism Board as an "executive step" towards stimulating the economy.
Director of the Medical Tourism Department at the Ministry of Health Suleiman Ammarin said that the office’s tasks include receiving and analysing data and preparing statistical reports on medical tourism services in the Kingdom, as well as facilitating coordination with concerned agencies.
