Qusai Initiative to establish healthcare centre in Irbid Municipality stadium

AMMAN — The Greater Irbid Municipality and the Qusai Initiative, on Saturday reached an agreement to establish a healthcare centre in the northern city’s stadium, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Irbid Mayor Hussein Bani Hani said that a delegation from the initiative visited the stadium last week to discuss establishing a healthcare unit for athletes, in case any athlete suffers a serious injury, be it during training or competition.
Bani Hani added that the initiative pledged to provide training to the municipality’s staff, which supervise the stadium and provide first aid until the arrival of an ambulance.
Founded in 2014, by HRH Crown Prince Hussein following the tragic death of young football player, Qusai Al Khawaldeh, the Qusai Initiative is implemented by the Crown Prince Foundation in cooperation with the Jordan Olympic Committee.
