AMMAN — Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency (Transparency International - Jordan), on Wednesday concluded the "Integrity School and Academy 2022-2023" project, which was implemented with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and funding from the ZIVIK programme/ifa Institute for Foreign Relations, under the supervision of the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Last year, Rasheed conducted four intensive summer and winter schools with the participation of 60 participants — 30 females and 30 males — from all governorates of Jordan. Participants learned a combination of theoretical and practical training on the basic concepts of integrity, effective citizenship, rule of law, accountability and collective efforts to establish a state of institutions and enhance the effective engagement of youth in society, according to a statement from Rasheed.
Abeer Madanat, executive director of Rasheed, said: "Through this project, we were able to bridge the gaps that exist among youth regarding several concepts and connect democracy, human rights and the relationship between integrity, transparency and accountability, and reinforce them to support social peace. This enabled participants to develop their ideas and learn the necessary tools to translate the theoretical aspect into a practical culture."
