Restaurant fire claims lives of 3 people — PSD

AMMAN — Three people died on Saturday after a fire erupted in a restaurant near the University of Jordan, according to the Public Security Directorate spokesperson.
The spokesperson said that the Civil Defence Department's firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene, where paramedics transferred the bodies to the University of Jordan Hospital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He noted that relevant authorities have started investigating the cause of the fire.
