Royal Court chief meets Danish parliamentary delegation

AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh on Thursday received a Danish parliamentary delegation tasked with following up on Jordan’s request to join the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Tarawneh expressed Jordan’s keenness to develop strategic partnerships with EU countries, including Denmark.
The delegates praised the Kingdom’s efforts in achieving regional peace and stability.
Also on Thursday, the delegation visited the Anti-Corruption Commission and had a firsthand look at its procedures, goals and efforts in combating corruption.
Jacob Lund, head of the delegation, offered his condolences to Jordan over the death of pilot Muath Kasasbeh, and reiterated Denmark’s solidarity with the Kingdom in fighting terrorism.
