Senate president, UAE ambassador discuss ties

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and the United Arab Emirates Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa Bin Mohammed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan on Wednesday discussed ways to boost Jordanian-Emirati relations to serve the best interests of both countries.

Fayez affirmed the "strong ties" between Jordan and the UAE based on mutual respect, indicating that His Majesty King Abdullah's and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s commitment to constantly enhancing these relations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Emirati envoy praised the high level of "historical Emirati-Jordanian relations". The two sides also went over the current regional situation, as well as means to strengthen economic and investment cooperation in various fields.
