SSC hears five witnesses in Zarqa assault case

AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) on Sunday held its fifth session in the case of the 16-year-old boy, Saleh, who was brutally attacked by a group of men who cut off his hands and left him blind in one eye in Zarqa in October.
The court listened to the testimonies of five people before adjourning the session until Tuesday to hear more witness testimonies. Security forces arrested 16 of the suspects while one remains at large.
The suspects, among them the fugitive, who will be tried in absentia, face multiple charges, including terrorism, kidnapping, indecent assault, causing a permanent disability, resisting security forces and possessing a firearm without a licence.
