AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Tuesday invited small businesses with no more than 10 employees to join its "Istidama ++" programme, aimed at supporting the contributions of private sector workers and offering them incentives.
The initiative, which is accessible via: ( HYPERLINK "https://eservices.ssc.gov.jo" https://eservices.ssc.gov.jo), eases the workers' transition into the formal economy by broadening the scope of social security coverage, according to a SSC statement.
The programme's duration is 12 months and there are no costs for target groups, or financial obligations for companies and employers wishing to register new employees after June 1, 2022, irrespective of nationality.
The only requirements are that the beneficiary's monthly wage doesn't exceed JD500 and that they haven't previously been a beneficiary of the National Employment Programme or the Hafiz Programme (Incentive Programme in English).
The programme provides incentives including a monthly contribution of JD30 per subscriber in targeted institutions and a cash inclusion incentive of JD400 directly deposited into the eligible beneficiaries’ bank accounts in four instalments during the first, fourth, seventh and tenth months of the programme.
