AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Sunday announced that it received a USAID grant worth JD28.32 million.
The USAID and the SSC, representing the Jordanian government, have recently signed an agreement to support the stability of the Jordanian labour force, institutions that are unauthorised to operate during the pandemic and hardest-hit sectors through Jordan’s Istidama (sustainability) programme, which was launched by the government and the SSC in December 2020.
The SSC said that a total of JD125 million has been spent on the Istidama programme so far, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
