Tourism Ministry delegation to attend travel exhibition in London

AMMAN — Jordan will participate in the World Travel Market scheduled to be held in London between Monday and Thursday, according the Tourism Ministry.
Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine, who will head the Jordanian delegation, said the Kingdom’s participation is important, since representatives of 160 countries will take part in the event.
Jordan’s participation is part of its efforts to promote its tourist attractions, and improve its position on the world tourism map, the ministry said.

Jordan on Saturday concluded its participation in the 17th meeting of Arab tourism ministers, which was held in Cairo at Arab League headquarters.
World Tourism Organisation Secretary General Taleb Rifai on Thursday said the organisation will help Jordan’s Tourism Ministry achieve its goals by providing it with tourism experts.
Jordan ranks first globally in the number of tourist attractions, housing more than 100,000 archaeological and tourist sites, Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine said on Tuesday.
