Tourism, water ministers meet US delegates

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine on Saturday met with US congressional aides and discussed prospects for further cooperation, especially in the area of tourism development.
He highlighted the Tourism Ministry’s efforts to promote Jordan’s attractions and facilitate the entry of tourists.
On Friday, Water Minister Hazem Nasser met the delegates and voiced his appreciation for US support to Jordan, which enables it to overcome challenges in the energy and water sectors.
Nasser noted that US cooperation with the ministry has helped the Kingdom improve the water situation amid the increasing demand, which has gone up by 21 per cent.
