Two suspects detained in credit card fraud

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) cadres have detained two people, one of whom is non-Jordanian, on suspicion of using stolen credit cards, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said on Thursday. They are suspected of spending JD23,000 from stolen foreign credit cards.
CID personnel tracked the payments and located the suspects, who were arrested at their house. The personnel searched the house and found laptops, mobile phones, credit card cloning and reading devices that can be attached to ATM machines, in addition to a number of stolen credit cards.
The CID urged the public to make sure before any transaction that ATMs have no additional devices installed on them.
