AMMAN — Around 24,574 people visited inmates at correctional and rehabilitation centres during the Eid Al Adha holiday, the media centre at the Public Security Department (PSD) reported on Thursday.
The administration of correctional and rehabilitation centres admitted visitors between 9am and 1pm over the four-day holiday, the PSD said, adding that the visits aimed to connect inmates with the community and give them a chance to celebrate the occasion.
Also over the holiday, senior PSD officers paid field visits to rehabilitation centres to check on work flow and to convey their greetings to their personnel and inmates on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
