AMMAN — An initiative launched by the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) of Jordan contributed to the implantation of six corneas for patients in different areas of the Kingdom, in cooperation with the Jordan Eye Bank.
CEO of KEPCO’s Qatranah Electric Power Company (QEPC) Kyuhyun Ryu on Monday said that the initiative comes within the corporation’s social responsibility towards local communities, urging other companies to support medical service providers and people in need of medical care, especially in light of the current conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jordan Eye Bank Director Muawya Bdour expressed his appreciation of KEPCO’s assistance to Jordanian patients in remote areas, especially with the increasing pressure on hospitals due to the influx of Syrian refugees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
