AMMAN — Social Development Minister Reem Abu Hassan on Saturday presented financial assistance to 75 underprivileged families in Southern Shuneh District.
During a visit to the district, she checked on the situation of two families who received housing units from the ministry last week and presented them with financial and in-kind assistance.
Abu Hassan also met with presidents of 14 charitable societies and listened to their needs.
Hassan Odwan, head of the social development department in the district, said 24 income-generating projects were implemented in the area in 2014 at a value of JD60,000, noting that the department identifies families in need through a joint database with the Royal Court and other organisations.
