AMMAN — The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Kenyan Watra Africa Trade and Investment Advisory Agency on Monday signed an agreement to establish a Jordanian-Kenyan business council to strengthen relations between the business community in the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The signing of the agreement came on the sidelines of the activities of the Jordanian-Kenyan Economic Forum, which was organised by the association, in cooperation with the Jordanian embassy in Nairobi, with the aim of enhancing economic, trade and investment cooperation and developing joint action.

According to a JBA statement, the council aims to encourage cooperation between the Jordanian and Kenyan business communities to increase the volume of trade exchange, expand the base of economic activities between the two countries, exchange investment information, exchange visits of trade delegations, and organise investment forums and conferences to enable businesspeople to network.
