Agriculture Ministry to provide 50,000 lemon saplings for home gardens

AMMAN — The Consumer Protection Society (CPS) and the Agriculture Ministry on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding as part of the initiative “A Lemon Tree for Every House”.
The memo, signed by Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi and CPS President Mohammad Obeidat, stipulates that the Agriculture Ministry assist in the initiative to plant lemon trees in home gardens by providing 50,000 saplings to be distributed at subsidised prices.
The CPS will hold workshops to train homeowners on planting lemon trees.
