Kisbi briefed the IFC executive on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, which is set to link Amman with Zarqa.
He noted that the project can carry up to 63,000 passengers each way and that the trip from Amman to Zarqa (22km east of the capital) will take around 23 minutes.
Kisbi said the cost of the three-lane transport project is estimated at JD110 million to be funded by the Kuwaiti Development Fund. The project will be linked to the BRT project that the Greater Amman Municipality is constructing in the capital, the minister said.
