Anti-drug police seize narcotics haul in Balqa, Central Badia

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have seized large amounts of Amphetamine that is used to manufacture Captagon pills on a farm in Balqa.

In a separate raid in the Central Badia, anti-drug police seized 35,000 palm-sized sheets of Hashish in the possession of drug traffickers, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Thursday.

AND agents received a tip-off on a man who had chemical items that are used in producing narcotics in Balqa, before the agents raided a farm and seized 16 gallons of the Amphetamine, the spokesperson said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In the other case, AND personnel arrested a suspected drug trafficker inside his vehicle in Central Badia and found him in possession of 35,000 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 20,000 narcotic pills, the PSD official said.
