Aqaba meat plant sealed for violations

AQABA — The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) on Thursday sealed a factory importing and exporting poultry and red meat with red wax.
The facility was found in violation of public health standards after it was proven to have breached storage conditions and altered the production and expiry dates of some products.
ASEZA health inspectors, in cooperation with the Rangers and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, seized 22 tonnes of meat from the plant.
