AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) has proven “high competence and professionalism” while implementing its duties during the COVID-19 pandemic and contributed to alleviating its negative impacts, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti said on Wednesday.

Visiting the Muwafaq Salti Airbase and meeting with its commander in the presence of high-ranking officers, Huneiti praised the pivotal role of the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) in “defending the skies of the homeland” and assisting land forces against any internal and external threats, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The army chief also commended RJAF’s humanitarian role through its medical air ambulance and evacuation missions, conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of JAF, to the personnel of the air base.
