Army foils infiltration attempt

AMMAN — Personnel at the Eastern Military Zone on Wednesday foiled an infiltration attempt by an individual from Syria, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, quoting a source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
The source said that the rules of engagement were applied, resulting in the arrest of the suspect, who was referred to the relevant authorities. The JAF will "firmly deal" with any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the Kingdom's borders and its national security, the source stressed.
