Authorities foil smuggling attempt in Aqaba, seize heroin in Northern Badia

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle 118,000 narcotic pills in Aqaba, 330 km south of Amman, and arrested the suspect, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In Northern Badia, authorities seized 13 kilogrammes of heroin which had been hidden in a desert area. An investigation is under way to identify and arrest suspects in the case.
