AMMAN — The government’s coordinator on human rights, Basil Tarawneh, on Saturday outlined measures related to human rights taken by the Awqaf Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He noted that the ministry has responded to recommendations listed in the human rights reports.

The measures include regulations related to Hajj (the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca), including providing assistance for the elderly or people with disabilities to perform the ritual. The ministry has also amended the regulations governing health, education, charities and the Zakat Fund.
