Azerbaijan's embassy marks National Day

AMMAN — Azerbaijan's embassy in Amman on Sunday held a ceremony to celebrate the country's Independence Day. Azeri Ambassador Eldar Salimov referred the "close" Jordanian-Azeri relations and the development they realised in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also reviewed the development and growth of Azerbaijan since its independence, saying his country is progressing with a policy based on respecting others and not interfering in their internal affairs.
In remarks during the ceremony, Minister of State Ibrahim Jazi underscored the "distinguished relations" between the countries, supported by the close relations between His Majesty King Abdullah and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
He also congratulated the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on the occasion and wished them more progress and prosperity.
