Azeri delegation visits free zone at QAIA

AMMAN — On the sidelines of the Jordan-Azerbaijan Investment Forum, Azeri Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Alat Free Economic Zone Authority (AFEZA) Ismayil Manafov, visited the free zone at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA). 

The visit was organised by the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.  

JFDZG Director of Investment Promotion, Media and Communication Amjad Widyan briefed Salimov and Manafov on QAIA’ free zone’s operations. The two Azeri officials also toured three investment projects and were briefed on their implementation and development. 

At the end of the visit, Salimov and Manafov extended appreciation to JFDZG for organising the tour, lauding the Jordanian experience in developing and managing  free zones and voicing keenness to bolster cooperation between JFDZG and AFEZA.
