AMMAN — Border Guards on Wednesday night foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics, where two people tried to illegally enter the Kingdom from Syria, a source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said on Thursday. The border troops applied the rules of engagement and injured one of the two suspects before arresting both, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted the army source as saying.
Upon a search of the area, Border Guards found 320 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 332,000 Captagon pills, an automatic weapon and ammunition, which were all sent to relevant authorities. Meanwhile, Border Guards on Thursday arrested two people who attempted to illegally cross the Kingdom’s border into Syria, and referred them to the concerned authorities.
