AMMAN — The University of Jordan’s Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) on Tuesday hosted Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang in a dialogue session attended by intellectuals and centre researchers, the CSS said on Wednesday.
CSS Director Musa Shteiwi said the session focussed on China’s growing role in the international arena, the Chinese stances on terrorism and regional crises, especially in Syria and Iraq, and Jordanian-Chinese relations, the CSS said in a statement.
The Chinese diplomat highlighted his country’s support to Jordan in its fight against terrorism, and in dealing with regional challenges. He also voiced China’s readiness to expand investments in the Kingdom, especially in the fields of renewable energy, water, transportation and infrastructure, the statement added.
