Customs revenue increased to JD871.2m in H1 2022 — JCD chief

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) Director General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah on Sunday said that the JCD’s customs revenue in the first half of 2022 increased to JD871.2 million compared with JD811.3 million in the same period of 2021, despite lowering customs fees. 

Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Qudah said that some 50 per cent of products are fully exempted from customs fees, 43 per cent of commodities are subject to 5 per cent customs fees and 7 per cent of items are subject to 15 or 25 per cent customs fees.
