Deputising for King, army chief attends Defence College graduation

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday attended the graduation ceremony of the 20th National Defence Course at the Royal Jordanian National Defence College.

The ceremony marked the graduates’ completion of the course, all of whom achieved a master's degree in administration and strategic studies, as well as the master's programme of Strategies to Counter Extremism and Terrorism 6, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The programmes attracted the participation of officers from diverse branches of the JAF, as well as from various security agencies. Individuals from different ministries and institutions were also among the participants, as well as officers from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan, the US and Germany.

In the visitors' log, Huneiti expressed his pride in the capabilities of the Royal Jordanian National Defence College's graduates, both at the military and academic levels.
