AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Tuesday attended the opening of the 10th International Conference of the Royal Medical Services.
Titled “Global Challenges and Sustainable Development in Health”, the four-day conference is held at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea, with the participation of 8,000 experts in various medical disciplines, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and expertise, according to a Royal Court statement.
The conference features 450 scientific lectures, sessions, and workshops, including livestreamed surgeries for educational purposes.
On the sidelines of the conference, Crown Prince Hussein inaugurated the Jordan Health Exhibition (JOHEX), and was briefed on the latest medical equipment and technologies on display.
HRH Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, House of Representatives Speaker Ahmad Safadi, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Health Minister Feras Al Hawari, Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain, and a number of army officers and officials attended the conference’s opening ceremony.
