Digital Economy Ministry, JoPACC sign agreement for client verification

AMMAN — The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Monday signed an agreement with the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) to enable banks to verify their individual and company clients.
Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Minister Ahmad Hanandeh said that the ministry's strategy includes empowering digital transformation solutions for all sectors, noting that this agreement allows banks, through JOPACC, to access data of some government institutions under the highest information security standards, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JoPACC CEO Maha Baho said that the project will not include access to clients' data without their approval in line with the government requirements.
