Education directors authorised to decide school schedules in bad weather

AMMAN — Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat has authorised education directors to postpone or cancel schooldays depending on the prevailing weather conditions, Education Ministry Spokesperson Walid Jallad said Tuesday.

Thneibat instructed education directors to contact school principals and coordinate arrangements with administrative governors in their areas.

He also stressed the importance of contacting the emergency centre at the ministry to inform headquarters of their decisions.
