Energy minister participates in mining summit in Saudi Arabia

AMMAN — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh on Tuesday participated in the third international ministerial meeting concerned with mining affairs held in the Saudi Arabia and scheduled to last for three days. The meeting, organised in collaboration with the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation, aims to reach consensus on advancing four previously agreed-upon initiatives, including the development of a regional framework for critical minerals, identifying regional expectations for essential mineral supplies, building capacities through centre of excellence and establishing axes for green minerals supported by new technology, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The conference also aims to attract investments for mineral industries in this region, disseminate the most advanced digital technologies in the sector, and apply the best sustainability standards.
