FM, Omani counterpart talk cooperation

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Wednesday received Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who is visiting the Kingdom to deliver His Majesty King Abdullah a letter from Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.

Safadi and Albusaidi discussed means to bolster bilateral relations and proceed with all measures to increase cooperation in implementation of the two leaderships’ directives, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The latest international and regional developments, issues of mututal interest, notably the Palestinian cause and efforts to resolve the Syrian and Yemeni crises, as well as means to enhance joint action against shared challenges were also discussed.

Both sides highlighted that coordination over regional issues is ongoing to overcome challenges, resolve regional issues, maintain security and stability and enhance regional cooperation in service of the Arab nations' interests.
