Foreign Ministry follows up on death of Jordanian citizen in Germany

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Saturday that it is closely monitoring an incident involving the death of a Jordanian citizen in Hamburg, Germany, according to a ministry statement. Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Sufian Qudah said that the Jordanian Embassy in Berlin is in contact with the German authorities regarding the ongoing investigations into this tragic incident. The Jordanian Embassy in Berlin has initiated official procedures to repatriate the body of the deceased to Jordan in coordination with his family, Qudah added. He also expressed condolences for the family of the deceased. The statement also affirmed that there were no Jordanian casualties in Thursday's armed attack at a university in the Czech capital, Prague, which claimed the lives of 14 people and injured 25 others.
